This movie was trying to prostrate as it was positively event when the real story was nothing what that movie was made out to be. There is a lot of stories in this movie that needs to addressing to. I'll leave a few examples in here:
First of off, this lady was never had a romance with this Civil Rights activist.
Secondly, the FBI was not harassing her all because of hers political, nor because of hers involvement with Civil Rights, except it was because of her being involvement with a racist black group that was attempting to rob a several business and motivate to kill the enforcement.
Lastly, this lady was arrested for treason, publicity destruction, hatred, and harassing the soldiers whose return from Vietnam.
This movie needs to re-fix with fact-checking, instead of doing it to supports the propaganda.
I'll give it a 10 star once they fix it, but I know they won't.

Seberg movie maker. Whoa. Reminds me of Scarlett Jo! Rip. Can't wait to see K Stewart play her. It is sometimes hard to pinpoint where exactly films fail, the cinematography wasn't bad and you can definitely see that Kristen Stewart tried, but everything else about this film was below mediocre. Characters were one dimensional and lacked any depth, plot development, from the very moment the two main characters meet and then meet again, was abrupt and unbelievable. The other main characters - the good FBI agent vs. the bad one, were just as shallow. Not to mention the wives, whose role never went anywhere and might have as well not been in this film at all.
In the end, it simply wasn't interesting to watch and that is something no amount of blank long gazes and gratuitous nudity can fix.
If you haven't yet, do yourself a favor and watch 'The Lives of Others' a 2006 German film that shares a similar theme but actually does it justice.

As a viewer who is very familiar with the work of Jean Seberg I simply can't accept Kristen in that role. She simply doesn't measure up to the character she is trying to play. The plot was the exact same thing as the first, but by adding new characters and switching up who's in who's body, it kept things fun and entertaining. Very funny, Kevin Hart was hysterical acting like Danny Glover, one of the highlights of the film. Unlike the first, this one had some good fight scene, and a few nice twists. Overall, just a fun entertaining movie. It doesn't stand above the first from 2017, not better not worse. If you didn't like the first, highly doubt you'll enjoy this one any more. "The White Sheik" heralded the great things that Fellini had in store for all his admirers. It is also the debut of a character that will come to life later on, Cabiria, the prostitute with the heart of gold, the eternal optimist, whose story will be told a few years later in full length.
Fellini was indeed inspired for this picture. He was lucky in finding collaborators of the stature of Tullio Pinelli, who will be linked to Mr. Fellini in many other projects, Michelangelo Antonionni, himself a distinguished director, and Ennio Flaiano. The music of Nino Rota adds another layer to this film with its tuneful score. Arturo Gallea's wonderful black and white photography looks as though it was just shot, with its crisp details of that Rome of the early 1950s in all its splendor.
Ivan Cavalli, an older man has married the beautiful, and younger, Wanda. They come from a small town and their honeymoon is to be spent in Rome, taking the sights and visiting his well connected relatives. The arrival at the train station captures the chaos and confusion that looks pretty much the same today. The prim Ivan is taken aback when the clerk at the Tre Fiori hotel shouts to take the couple to the "honeymoon suite" on the third floor.
Wanda, who is much younger, has something else in mind. She, like a lot of women of that era in Italy, loved the romance stories that were beautifully photographed and which had its followers who adored figures like Fernando Rivoli, the hunk male star of those soap opera paperbacks. Wanda, has been corresponding with the office that handles the production of those penny romances, goes to meet her idol. Wanda, a naive woman, is an instant hit with the woman who writes some of the stories, who tells her Fernando is downstairs waiting for her. Well, that's the beginning for Wanda's fling with celebrity.
In the meantime, Ivan awakens to a flooded room because Wanda forgot to turn off the water in the bath tub. Little does he know, but his punctual uncle and his family await the newlyweds downstairs, but Wanda is missing. What to do? Ivan does everything to excuse his absent bride to the uncle, telling them she feels too sick to go with them. Ivan decides to go along with the relatives not knowing what else to do. The visit to the Pope, a highlight of the trip, has to be postponed.
Wanda finds herself on a beach location where some of the White Sheik's photography is to be shot. She makes quite an impression with her idol, who sees in the naive woman an easy prey. Little prepares him for the way everything will turn against him as his jealous wife arrives to the shoot. Wanda, has to find her own way to Rome in the company of a beach goer who sees in Wanda the same thing Rivoli saw: sex!
Leopoldo Trieste, who plays Ivan Cavalli, was the perfect man to play this fastidious man. Mr. Trieste runs away with the picture. The only concern for this stuffy man is his honor. The mere idea of having his good name sullied by Wanda simply is too much for him; it horrifies him. Mr. Trieste, one of the best film actors in Italian cinema makes a wonderful Ivan.
Brunella Bovo appears as Wanda, the young bride. Ms. Bovo is also marvelous in the film. She is a romantic woman who probably is married to Ivan to please her parents. Ivan is the opposite of her idea of what those heroes of the romance novels she adores, must look like. Wanda is horrified when she realizes what her idol Rivoli expects from her.
Fellini and his team were blessed in casting Alberto Sordi as Rivoli. This actor was at an excellent moment in his film career. His larger than life persona dazzles Wanda, but he is like some other handsome hunks that are used to easy females who he lures to bed by telling them what they want to hear.
The ensemble cast is also excellent. Enzo Maggio, a notable character actor, plays the hotel concierge who is more interested in pushing post cards than giving service. Lilia Landi is Felga, one of the models posing for the novels. Ettore Maria Margadonna is seen as the well connected uncle. Giulietta Masina appears toward the end of the film as Cabiria who is walking the streets where she meets the distraught Ivan and comforts him.
This delicious film is a must see for all fans of that genius that was Federico Fellini.

Chhapaak is not a film that lets you go easy, just as one begins to settle in to think Malti has managed to get better of her perpetrator, it jolts you with a few grim, uncomfortable reminders. Meghna Gulzar's film is all heart as it takes on the scourge of acid attacks. Deepika Padukone shows the mastery on her craft as she emerges as Malti. Yes, it's worthy, but it's also very watchable. Chhapaak is life-affirming and sobering, so don't duck this disturbing and compelling drama. January 9, 2020 Chhapaak earns its flourishes through Gulzar's compassionate gaze, that guarantees that the film doesn't pity Malti or work overtime in demanding sympathy for her.

Ce 93%ce bf cf 85%ce af ce bb ce b9 6. こんにちは！Moekaです. 前回の記事 の続き映画『 女神の見えざる手 』について 今回は“なんでこの作品が『新しい映画』だと思ったのか素晴らしい！”と感じたかについて具体的に書いていきたいと思います. なぜ素晴らしい（語彙力）のか.それはスローンが 美しく敏腕なロビリストでありながら弱い一面を持つ一人の女性 でありそして “悪い”一面が描かれてい たこ と. “勝利”にこだわったということを描かれていたい たこ と ではないかと思います. （この記事は映画『 女神の見えざる手 』のネタバレを含みます.） 優秀な女性だけど... 常に先を先を読む敏腕なロビリスト.妥協しない.スローンは“強い女性”に見えるけれど. 実際はそうじゃない一面もあります. 仕事をするために神経刺激剤に頼っていたり.それに「キャリアのために手放した人生を想像するために」男性を買うこともあったり. 決して完璧な女性ではありません. 人のぬくもりが欲しくなるところ.ちょっとした情.それは愚かなことでも弱いことでもありませんが“弱み”にはなります.『 女神の見えざる手 』はスローンが鉄の女というわけではなく “こういうところもある”ときちんと“弱味もある”というところを描いて いました. それにただ単に“銃 規制緩和 ”を支持するおじさんたちを女性が打ち負かす話だったら『新しい』とは感じないと思うんです.結局おじさんたちの方が頭が固くて女性の方が倫理的じゃん！みたいな.笑 でも違うのは “スローンも常軌を逸したところがある” というところ.笑 盗聴器しかけるわあんまりデリカシーもなく仲間をダシに使うわそういうところがあります. マーク・ストロング 演じるCEOに「君はまともだっ たこ とないのかよ！？」っていわれる場面も.それに買春は犯罪ですしね. （それについては最後有罪にはならないんですけれども.） 女性対男性の戦いというよりは「彼女がアメリカを毒で制す」キャッチコピー通りまさに “毒と毒の戦い” でもある.笑　彼女の場合は自分の信じる倫理観に基づいて行動するんですけれどもちょっと道を逸れてしまう. だからなんていうんだろう. “すごくフェア” に描かれている気がしたんです.そして最後彼女はちゃんと罪を償うために刑務所に入る！ 主人公が善悪はっきりと割り切れないところ そこもこの作品の魅力なのではないかと思います. それに “強い女性が勝つ”ということではなく“信念を持った人の行動”に重点が置かれている ところ.スローンも超潔白なヒーローじゃないからこそ作品を通してフェアに映りました.うーん難しい. 説明下手でごめんなさい... “勝利”にこだわった女性 スローンは“勝利”にこだわります.自分の仕事に目的の達成に.それを強く思うがあまり「そこまでするの？」っていう行動にも出てしまうわけですが... でも今まで“勝利”や“信念”のために盲目になるぐらい突き進む女性キャラクターってあんまりいなかったと思うんです. 例としてはふさわしくないかもしれませんが笑 『 ナイトクローラー 』の ジェイク・ギレンホール 演じる主人公.彼は“他のやつを蹴散らしたい！”“とにかくとんでもないスクープを撮りたい！”っていって狂気じみた行動をとり始めるんですよ.『 スカーフェイス 』の アル・パチーノ 演じる主人公（彼は信念とかより野望か. 笑）とかも“強く何かを思いすぎるあまり逸脱していく”“突き進みまくる”キャラクターは男性の方が多かったと思うんです. だから恋愛感情とかは無しに 「勝利！」「私の信念！」 って言ってこだわって突き進む女性キャラクターはすごく新しく感じました.この『 女神の見えざる手 』は本当の意味で “男と女平等”人間同士のぶつかり合い を描いている表している映画なんですよ！！超頭いい美女がめった斬りにする映画じゃないんですよ！いい映画. 笑　 あと一個付け足し. 途中でスローンが会社の女性に “皮肉をいう人が皮肉なのよ” っていうシーンがありました.でもスローンが“銃の所持を断固として反対する理由”.彼女はそれを明確にしていなかったかなとも思います. 曖昧なことも理由なことも嫌いな彼女だけれどその理由を明言しなかった.（私が見落としていなければ. ） だからもし彼女が「ただ勝ちたい」ためだけに確固とした理由なしに銃規制派に回っていたとしたらそれは スローン自身も自分自身に矛盾していることになるのかな？ とも.いずれにせよ彼女は完璧ではなかったし未熟なところがあっただからラストは刑務所に入り罪を償い出てきた時は新しい自分としてまた活動していくのかな？とも思いました. 倫理観とは何か？仕事で大切なことはなんなのか？自分は矛盾しているところはないだろうか？行動と言動が伴っていないところはないだろうか？ そんな内省を促される作品でもあると思います.いろんな人と話し合いたくなる作品！ 男性と女性がこのようにフェアであると示す要素をちゃんと含んでいる作品 です.思いっきりネタバレしていますけれども. ぜひ観に行ってみてください！.

The Invisible Life of Euridice Gusmao is a melodrama that gives the audience a look at Brazilian culture during the 1950s and what life was like for most women under the patriarchal society that often made them struggle to succeed. What captured my attention from the outset were the spectacular set design and the period costumes that accurately depict life from that time. The production team, particularly director Karim Aïnouz and producer Rodrigo Teixeira, have my ultimate respect in nailing those aspects so accurately. This film entertained and educated me about that period of time and its culture, which are very unique characteristics I don't often see, but love.
The film is about two inseparable sisters living in Rio de Janeiro during the 1950s, that live under their conservative parents' strict guidance. Even though both sisters are involved in the traditional life that surrounds them, Euridice wants to become a renowned pianist and Guida wants to find true love. When their father separates them and makes them live apart from each other, they work to meet their goals, while hoping that they can reunite one day and celebrate life together, since they are each other's support and joy.
My favorite scene is when Euridice carefully covers for Guida's secret nighttime outings to dance clubs with a Greek sailor. She encourages her sister to not give in to their parents' strict lifestyle and proposes that they should expose themselves to experiences that will fill them with happiness.
The important message that I learned from this film is the importance of how women have fought for their place and equality within a patriarchal society. Before, women were submissive to the patriarch, but as time has passed, society has realized what a huge injustice was being made and corrected the social forms. This movie is very big on showing how times were different back then for women and how thankful we all must be that a turn was made. Young women like Euridice and Guida struggled from an early age to find happiness. I rate this movie 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 13 to 18, plus adults.

The lies of extremally conservative parents, the superb and envy of Eurídice's husband, the suffering in maternity, the crucial solidarity between desperate women - all of it built a strong indignation and, at last, everybody cries in the end: a real tragic one. Fernanda Montenegro is an acting gem.
With technical maestry, Karim's team guides the movie in a raw way. The cinematography of Hélène Louvart is outstanding capturing old, green and dirty Rio de Janeiro. Karim's directing choices are really touching and carry a whole bunch of social issues with flow. The cello and piano from Benedikt Schiefer are as unsettling as the character's obstacles.
I hope that when women (especially older ones) watch this movie, they identify themselves and keep fighting against the male authoritarianism, fighting for freedom.
I hope that when men watch this movie, they identify in themselves traces of sexism to keep changing, to keep evolving and encouraging other ones to be better.
It's definitely an incredible and important movie that answers the questions above with some of the multiple possibilites, multiple realities that exist. It's a must see.

Eu ainda tinha um pingo de esperança que o filme System Crasher da alemanha pudesse surpreender e entrar nessa lista, mas não aconteceu. Embora espiei os coemntários antes de sair de casa, nada se compara ao impacto de uma película engraçada, universal e inteligente. Há cenas que mereciam um ótimo comentário, não só pela fotografia como também pelo caráter surpreende, mas não ofarei, porque quero que veja com os seus olhoso. Afirmo que seu olho vai grudar na tela, sua reflexão vai aguçar e links serão feitos com tantas outras coisas, desde livros a filmes, isso involuntariamente. Digo mais, a desigualdade como protoganista é prato cheio para quem tem fome de antigos temas numa forma engraçada, até levemente apimentada, tudo com uma ótica singular. o meu 1 de janeiro de 2020 foi top, simplesmente top. Born in Recife, Batalha was raised in Rio de Janeiro She studied Journalism at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, has a master's degree in Brazilian Literature for the same university and one in Publishing by the New York University, having received the Oscar Dystel fellowship in 2009. This is Federico Fellini's first solo effort, his first film, Variety Lights, having been co-directed by Alberto Lattuada (although it is unmistakably in the style of Fellini's early films. The White Sheik is quite underrated - there's no reason why it should be so much less respected than the other early films, particularly La Strada and Nights of Cabiria, the two most often cited as masterpieces (and I'd agree. I actually like The White Sheik quite a bit better than I Vitelloni, Fellini's next film (Il Bidone is the only one from his early period that I have not yet seen. The White Sheik is quite humorous, perhaps Fellini's funniest (although so many of his films contain a great amount of comedy. No Fellini fan should go without seeing it, because so many of his themes and images are established in it. In fact, no one should miss Variety Lights, either, for the same reason. But The White Sheik, unlike Variety Lights, stands by itself as a great film. 9/10.

I arrived at Fregene at a quarter to ten when the appointment had been for half past eight. They had all set off on a barge that was a kilometer away on an immense expanse of sea. They seemed to me to very distant, out of reach. I asked myself “And now what do I do? ” I couldnt remember the plot of the film, I couldnt remember anything. I just wanted to get out of there. To forget all about it. But then all my doubts vanished as soon as I set foot on the rope ladder. I hoisted myself onto the barge. I slipped in among the crew. I was curious to see how it was all going to end. Lo sceicco bianco ekşi. The name Fellini brings to mind some of the great films of the 20th century; La Dolce Vita, La Strada, and 8 1/2 come to mind. However, every legend has a beginning, and Fellini's was here. Here, we see the neo-realist influence that affected most of his early work, and it works perfectly to capture the hustle and bustle of the city of Rome as well as tell the story of a newlywed couple on a perfect honeymoon with a not-so perfect relationship.
Fellini does remarkable work in cutting back and forth between the travels of the bride as she seeks out her favorite soap opera star, The White Sheik, and that of the groom desperately trying to impress his family. It gives a sense that even if dreams seem more fun and desirable than the real world we live in, it is not always perhaps the most beneficial path. This is a theory that seemed to change with time as Fellini's films became more dream-like, but here it is apparent that realism reigns, at least for this awe-struck couple.
